  • Applying for medication discount programs offered by pharmaceutical companies
  • Finding low-cost or generic alternatives

What Is Prescription Drug Assistance?

Prescription drug assistance includes programs designed to help patients who are uninsured, underinsured, or facing financial hardship.

What Are Co-pay Cards?

Co-pay cards or savings cards are discount programs offered by pharmaceutical companies that reduce the cost of brand-name prescriptions. They’re often available to patients with commercial insurance, and some programs also support patients without insurance.

To apply for many of these programs, you may be asked to provide:

  • Proof of income (pay stubs, tax return, etc.)
  • A current prescription from your provider
  • Insurance status or denial of coverage documentation
  • Identification
